Refund & Returns Policy

The short version:
Every Memsy book is custom-made from your family's photos to a single, personalised copy. For that reason all printed books are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded once production has started. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard. No future books will be printed or billed.
1. Custom-made books are non-refundable
Each Memsy hardcover photo book is produced as a one-of-one, on-demand item using photos that you and your family have shared in your private WhatsApp group, in the layout and cover style you selected. Because the finished book has no resale value to anyone other than you, and because production cannot be reversed once it starts, all sales of printed books are final and no returns, exchanges or refunds are offered after a book enters production. By placing an order you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this term. This disclosure is provided to you in advance of purchase in compliance with state-level requirements, including California Civil Code § 1723 and New York General Business Law § 218-a.
2. Subscription cancellation
Your Memsy subscription can be cancelled at any time, with no fees and no minimum term, directly from your dashboard under Settings → Subscription, or by emailing hello@memsy.app. When you cancel:
- Any book that has already entered production for the current cycle will be finished and shipped to you.
- No further books will be printed and no further charges will be made to your payment method.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Partial periods are not refunded; this is consistent with how subscription services operate across the industry.
3. Defective or damaged books
This refund policy does not affect your statutory consumer-protection rights. If your book arrives with a manufacturing defect (printing error, binding problem, missing pages) or is damaged in transit, we will reprint and reship the book at no cost to you, or, at your choice, issue a full refund for that book. Email us a photo of the issue within 14 days of delivery to hello@memsy.app and we will take it from there.
4. Cancelling before production starts
Between cycles you can change your shipping address, your book style, or cancel the subscription before the next cutoff date without any charge or printed book being generated. The cutoff date for each cycle is shown in your dashboard. Cancellations submitted before the cutoff date stop the upcoming book entirely.
